The “Save Kim Possible” Story

by on Jul.15, 2009, under KP, Projects

A former colleague, Gregory Isaac, has re-acquired the domain that the Save Kim Possible group has wanted to have for quite some time and has put up a summarized history of the group and its success. He emailed me last night, but I didn’t see it until this morning.

One final note. I was recently able to acquire the savekimpossible.com domain name. I spent quite a few days considering what to do with it, and decided that it was the appropriate place to tell the story of the first fight for KP. In my opinion, it seems like a lot of people have forgotten our one successful campaign, and no where else has the story really been told. What I’ve written is the the SKP movement as I lived it.

I fixed some of the spelling errors to be more easily understood, but that’s word-for-word what he said. Don’t expect an in-depth look at the history. As I said, it’s summarized. But it’s complete. And, in my opinion, it’s a perfect ending for the long hard work fans had to put in to bring it about.

One thing I would add, however, is that it wasn’t tucsoncoyote alone who came up with the domain SaveDisneyShows.org. It was about four of us discussing for a few hours trying to come up with something.

This was actually a very nice tribute to the movement and the MKP/SKP supporters. Unfortunately I wasn’t around for the very beginning. There is so much that could have been added about drama that came along with it. Forum fights, K/R, Anti-K/R, ARA etc., but better to leave all that behind us. It all seems pointless now anyway, with how wonderful season 4 is. There is no more Anti-K/R. And ARA is dead. So everything is good. :-)
