Many of you have been wondering why I’d go for 2 years. I’ll be out of contact, away from the computer, away from the TV, away from friends. I’ve tried to answer that question here. It’s too long for a post here, but there’s a special page called “Why am I Going?” If you want to know, look at that.

I can’t give any other reasons. I just have to go. I must. Nothing is going to change that. A few of my closest friends will have contact information for me. If you need something or want to drop me a line, talk to them.

Update on WordPress 2.1.1

Long story short: If you downloaded WordPress 2.1.1 within the past 3-4 days, your files may include a security exploit that was added by a cracker, and you should upgrade all of your files to 2.1.2 immediately. Just so everyone’s aware… Of course, if you’re using WordPress, you probably already know about this as it tends to show up on the dashboard.
